Coalition letter supporting Scott Turner; another letter opposes Standards for Gas-Fired Instantaneous Water Heaters
乐竞体育赛事直播, along with other real estate organizations, have signed on to a letter expressing strong support for the confirmation of Scott Turner as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The coalition believes Mr. Turner has the proven ability to collaborate across sectors and his understanding of housing as a critical component of our economy makes him the right candidate to address the pressing housing challenges facing our nation.
Another coalition letter opposed U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Final Rule establishing Standards for Gas-Fired Instantaneous Water Heaters. The letter stated how the new DOE standards will have a significant negative effect on homeowners, home builders, renters, and rental housing providers, raising costs and creating unnecessary challenges. The push for a shift to more expensive condensing gas water heaters will present substantial hurdles for remodeling and replacement projects, especially in older homes and communities.
