• Serve a two-year term, with onboarding beginning within six months prior to term begin date.
• Attend the annual 乐竞体育赛事直播 Leadership Forum (Fall) for the duration of your term.
• Attend and actively participate on all virtual meetings scheduled throughout the year for the RVP Advisory Council.
• Visit each chapter within region at least once annually (up to two visits per year funded by HQ).
• Maintain regular, consistent communication with chapters within region.
• Mentor incoming RVP during outgoing year to ensure a smooth transition.
• Identify and recommend dynamic, emerging leaders as potential RVP candidates 鈥� encouraging them to apply.

In addition, RVPs serve as ex-officio members on:

• The RVP Advisory Council, comprised of 13 RVPs, the 乐竞体育赛事直播 President-Elect who serves as Chair, and a Vice Chair
• Governing Council

RVPs serve a two-year, staggered term; terms begin January 1 and end December 31.

• Funding for chapter visits 鈥� transportation and lodging (up to two visits per year, per chapter as necessary).
• Registration for the Chapter Leadership Retreat; lodging and travel expenses are the responsibility of the RVP.

• In the fall, the Nominating Committee vets all applications and chooses a nominee for each region.
• In November, you will receive a communication from the Nominating Committee Chair on the status of your application.
• If you are chosen as the nominee, you will be officially announced in the 2026 March/April issue of JPM and recognized at the 2026 乐竞体育赛事直播 Leadership Forum.聽
• The slate of 2027-2028 RVP nominees will be officially elected by Governing Council at the annual Governing Council meeting and term begins January 1, 2027.

No. The Nominating Committee considers several factors when selecting RVP nominees, only one of which is chapter representation; however, chapter representation is not the deciding factor. The best candidate overall is selected, regardless of their chapter.

The Nominating Committee is responsible for selecting and putting forth the slate of RVP nominees for election by the Governing Council. Current RVPs are asked to submit a Regional Evaluation (i.e., current strengths and weaknesses of the region), as well as an RVP Applicant Assessment for each RVP applicant based on their knowledge of and experiences with the applicants. These assessments are additional data points for the Nominating Committee as part of their review and selection process.

The current RVP does not provide 鈥渁pproval鈥� for any applicant to move forward nor do they make the selection. As part of the RVP application process, you are encouraged to reach out to the current RVP to learn more about the position. Likewise, since the current RVPs are asked to complete an RVP Applicant Assessment for each applicant, it鈥檚 appropriate and encouraged that there are conversations between the two.
